Bill Stonehocker, DVM — Animal Dental Care in Thornton, CO

Bill Stonehocker, DVM

I was born and raised on a farm in the Northglenn/Thornton area and received my undergraduate and DVM degree from CSU in 1984. I started at Northglenn Veterinary Clinic in 1987 with Dr. Larry Smith and Dr. Roy Carlson who started the practice in 1960 and which later became Community Pet Hospital. I enjoy all aspects of veterinary medicine and surgery but I especially enjoy the longterm relationships with our clients and patients that I have developed over the years.
My wife Terri has home schooled our two children from grade school thru high school which keeps us very busy. When I am not at the hospital I spend my time with family working on our small acreage (two horses, two sheep, two dogs, three cats, a lizard and some chickens) and following the kids around on their many activities. When we get a chance we enjoy the outdoors, skiing and traveling.

Wade Smith, DVM

Dr. Smith is a 3rd generation Colorado native who was raised on a small farm in rural Adams County. He grew up surrounded by dogs, cats, horses, goats, cows, chickens, ducks and pheasants. He was also very intrigued with the anatomy and physiology of animals and desired to learn all he could about God's creations. Dr. Smith earned his bachelor's degree at CSU with a double major in Biochemistry and Biology. He then did research in Genetic Engineering for two years before starting Veterinary School at CSU where he graduated in 1990. He started working at the Northglenn Veterinary Clinic with his father and Dr. Stonehocker, and they all became partners in 1992. They then designed and built the current building in 1996. Read More
