Dr. Schmidt brings a wealth of experience and a deep-rooted passion for veterinary medicine to our hospital. A proud native of Hawaii, she embarked on her journey in animal care by graduating from CSU in 2001. Following her academic pursuits, Dr. Schmidt honed her skills through a rigorous small animal medicine internship at Purdue University, further solidifying her commitment to the field.

After gaining invaluable experience, Dr. Schmidt pursued her passion for surgical excellence by completing a prestigious Surgical Residency in 2007. 

Beyond her professional pursuits, Dr. Schmidt finds solace and joy in the great outdoors of Colorado, often exploring the rugged terrain by four-wheeling alongside her husband. Their beloved furry companion’s completes their family: one dog and three cats.
