Dr. Walter Benavitz is originally from Hawai’i where he grew up caring for a wide variety of animals, everything from cats and dogs to horses, pigs and alpacas. After receiving a bachelor’s in Biology at the University of Hawai’i at Manoa, he went on to receive his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Ross University. Dr. Benavitz enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, but has taken a special interest in emergency medicine. He aspires to be the vet that he would want to bring his own animals to. Speaking of animals, in his spare time, Dr. Benavitz’ life outside of veterinary medicine mostly revolves around his pets. He has three cats, a dog, and two axolotls.
